A MORNING AT THE AQUARIUM

Ripley's Aquarium of Toronto

Monkey, Little Bean and I recently took a trip to Ripley's Aquarium of Canada. This place was made for kids. Little Bean was fascinated with the vibrant colours while Monkey spotted sea creatures of all shapes and sizes (including the largest lobster I have ever seen) and explored the many interactive exhibits. Here are a few snapshots of our morning at the aquarium ...

A quick tip ... Busy does not begin to describe this place. If possible, go on a weekday and be first in line or time your visit after 4 p.m. once the school trips have gone.

Monkey: He's three and he's starting to test me. Please let me have patience!

Little Bean: She is still my happy little girl.

CURRENTLY LOVING: THE PAJAMA JEAN

rag & bone pajama jean

The pajama pant is one spring trend that is making me very happy. To me, these jeans by rag & bone are perfect and satisfy my love of denim with my need for comfort -- it's like wearing denim sweatpants!

STREET STYLE FOR EARTH DAY

Monkey: This kid could 'scoot' all day long.

Little Bean: Snug as a bug and so very close to dreamland.

THE 14th ANNUAL BOUTIQUE BALL

As you may know, I'm a proud member of the committee that steers the Corsage Project, a non-profit program in Toronto dedicated to giving the authentic prom experience to local high school graduates who would not otherwise have the opportunity to celebrate this important milestone with their peers.

Last weekend, our annual Boutique Ball took place. It was an amazing and rewarding experience for our committee, volunteers and most importantly, for our Corsage Girls who shopped thousands of dresses, hundreds of shoes and tables upon tables of accessories to find their perfect prom look.

Little Bean joined me for set up day and enjoyed every minute ...

It was a good weekend. Now, let's start planning for next year's event!

Monkey: He's so happy now that the sun is shining and we can spend more time outdoors. He's learning how to throw a football.

Little Bean: She's been so intrigued by what everyone's eating lately. This was our first go of solid food.

Monkey: He loves sports almost as much as his dad does.
Little Bean: She loves singing songs. This week The Grand Ol' Duke of York is a crowd favourite.
